Winery software compared

Winery software compared: InnoVint, vintrace and GrapeFlow

InnoVint and vintrace are the two established cloud systems for US wineries; GrapeFlow is a newer, smaller one built for certified wineries up to about 20,000 cases. All three track lots from grapes to bottle and generate the TTB 5120.17. They differ in who they are built for: InnoVint and vintrace offer packages for larger operations, custom crush and a wide set of integrations, quoted on request; GrapeFlow publishes one price and adds the organic and sustainability records small certified wineries are audited on. The table below uses only what each company publishes on its own site, as of October 16, 2026.

Where InnoVint and vintrace are stronger

  • Larger and multi-site wineries

InnoVint’s Core package lists multi-site management, and Plus adds point-in-time inventory, tank maps and dip charts. Both companies serve wineries well above GrapeFlow’s size.

  • Custom crush and alternating proprietorships

InnoVint has a dedicated Custom Crush package with AP compliance and client access; vintrace invoices contract-winemaking clients. GrapeFlow does not do custom crush.

  • Integrations

InnoVint connects to Commerce7, ETS, TankNet and VinWizard; vintrace to QuickBooks and Xero. GrapeFlow has no DTC or accounting integration today.

  • Cost of goods

InnoVint’s Finance add-on tracks COGS per lot. GrapeFlow does not.

  • Track record

Both have been in US cellars far longer than GrapeFlow, with large customer bases.

Frequently asked questions

Is GrapeFlow cheaper than InnoVint or vintrace?

Neither InnoVint nor vintrace publishes a price on its site, so we can’t compare figures. GrapeFlow costs $99/month or $990/year with everything included; ask InnoVint and vintrace for a quote for your volume.

Can GrapeFlow handle custom crush?

No. If you make wine for clients or run an alternating proprietorship, InnoVint’s Custom Crush package or vintrace are built for that.

Does GrapeFlow integrate with Commerce7 or QuickBooks?

Not today. GrapeFlow has a read-only REST API, but no ready-made DTC or accounting integration.

Which one is best for a small certified organic winery?

If your records are mostly for USDA organic and sustainability audits and you make under about 20,000 cases, GrapeFlow is built for that. If you need custom crush, cost of goods or many integrations, look at InnoVint or vintrace.

Can I bring my data over from another system?

Blocks, tanks, harvest receptions and finished products can be imported from CSV. Lot histories are not imported: you start GrapeFlow with your current lots as opening balances.

How much does GrapeFlow cost?

$99/month or $990/year, with every module included and no per-seat pricing. There is a 30-day free trial and no credit card is required.
