Vineyard management software

Vineyard management software for growers and estate wineries

Most vineyards are run from a notebook in the truck, a spray log on a clipboard and a spreadsheet of blocks. GrapeFlow keeps all of it by block: the variety, acres and AVA, every spray and fertilizer with its EPA number, REI and PHI, the mowing, cover crop and canopy work, the ripening samples and the mildew risk for the week. Growers who sell fruit can run it as a vineyard-only account; estate wineries carry the same block through harvest and the cellar to the bottle.

Everything recorded against the block

  • Blocks

Variety, acres, AVA, farming mode and organic status. Draw the block on the map, or leave it undrawn and GrapeFlow places it by its AVA. Blocks can be imported from CSV.

  • Spray and fertilizer log

Each application by block with product, EPA registration number, rate per acre, REI and PHI, the applicator and the start and end times.

  • Worker safety

A live board of closed blocks, the printable application display sheet and the crew’s training records.

  • Field operations

Mowing, cover crop seeding, cultivation, hedging, bird netting, frost protection, irrigation and more, by block and date.

  • Phenology and observations

Budbreak to veraison by block, and field notes from the rows.

  • Ripening

°Brix, pH and TA samples week by week, several blocks on one chart, to decide when to pick.

Help deciding when to spray

  • Mildew risk per block

Downy and powdery mildew risk from modeled weather at each block, with a seven-day forecast. It is an estimate: leaf wetness is modeled, not measured.

  • Your sprays count

The risk reads the applications in your spray log, so a block you just covered shows it.

  • NDVI from satellite

Sentinel-2 vegetation index for every block you draw on the map, collected weekly, to spot the parts of a block that differ.

  • PHI at harvest

When fruit from a block comes in before a product’s pre-harvest interval is over, receiving warns you.

If you sell your fruit

Choose the vineyard profile and the cellar and bottling menus stay out of the way. Your buyer’s questions — what went on the block, when, and whether the PHI was respected — are answered from the spray log, by block.

GrapeFlow does not manage grape contracts, invoices or deliveries to buyers. It keeps the vineyard records behind them.

What it does not do

GrapeFlow does not replace your pest control adviser or your certifier, and the risk models are an aid, not a recommendation. Labels, state rules and your certifier’s requirements stay yours to follow.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use GrapeFlow if I only grow grapes?

Yes. Pick the vineyard profile when you set up the account and the cellar menus are hidden. You can switch to the full app later in the company settings.

Does it work in acres?

Yes. A US account works in acres, US tons, gallons, °Brix and °F.

Do I need to draw my blocks on a map?

No. An undrawn block is placed by its AVA for weather and risk. Drawing it gives a more precise location and is needed for NDVI.

Does it keep the records my organic certifier asks for?

Yes. Every input carries its NOP status, a prohibited input on an organic block is stopped before it is saved, and the applications go into the annual inspection package.

Can my crew log sprays from the phone?

Yes, in the phone’s browser. There is no native app, and the price is per winery, not per seat.

How much does GrapeFlow cost?

$99/month or $990/year, with every module included and no per-seat pricing. There is a 90-day free trial and no credit card is required.
